Managing contract deliverables is a crucial aspect of Contract Management. This includes a wide range of activities from identifying and defining the deliverables to monitoring overall compliance and performance. Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) aids Blue Planet in providing measurable metrics to track vendor performance and quality of service. In addition we are able to assume management of current contracts, as well as engage in new service agreements. Contract issues are discussed as needed and in our Quarterly Business Reports.

Fee Management
Managing and mitigating fees involves multiple strategies to minimize costs and risks associated with the various fees issued by the Vendors and Service Providers. Blue Planet engages all Vendors and stakeholders to better understand the reason fees are assessed. We require evidence to support any fee (such as photos), and through proper management, we look for trends within each location's waste stream to find ways to optimize services with the intent of reducing costs, finding savings, and eliminating fees.

Strategies targeting cost reductions and savings involve decreasing operational expenses in order to improve profitability, without impacting operations or services. Achieving this goal requires all of the elements listed herein, uniting together under Blue Planet’s management. Each and every Client-Partner is unique and presents different challenges. Waste audits should be objective, unbiased, and completely independent of all outside influences, offering a baseline of a facility’s waste stream’s volume, composition, and contamination. Our process includes collecting, sorting, and weighing all waste produced during a specific period and identifying each category of waste. Our Report offers actionable intelligence, that is objective, unbiased, and independent and includes recommendations for optimization, increased diversion, consolidation, program improvement, cost reductions and savings.

Diversion & Recycling Programs
Increased diversion and recycling go hand-in-hand with Service Optimization, Cost Reductions, and Savings, if implemented and managed properly. Diverting materials from your trash stream, may result in significant savings, but before you can divert materials you need to understand the point of disposal and generation obstacles, the volume and composition of your waste stream and recyclable materials (via a waste audit). Waste Diversion and Recycling programs are initiatives that can produce reduced costs and savings.
