Thinking Outside The Box

The ever changing demands on companies to comply with Environmental and Sustainable programs is challenging.

The outdated way of thinking, “set-it and forget-it” only benefits the vendor, resulting in fees, over-servicing, higher costs, lost revenue, and a lost of command and control over your program.

Blue Planet’s management program and outside-of-the-box thinking offers Service Modeling and Program Optimization targeting a reduction in costs, while increasing diversion & recycling. Guaranteed!

Service Modeling

Service modeling enables us to create, test, and scale a program based upon each location’s unique needs, including current waste generation, composition, and volume.

Service modeling is how we shape and align program design decisions to ensure consistency and sustainability as we build, pilot, and scale your waste and recycling program.

Blue Planet’s ‘Outside Of-The-Box’ thinking offers Cost Effective, Service Modeling and Program Optimization aimed at reducing costs, increasing diversion & recycling.

Elements of Blue Planet’s

Contract Management

Flexible. Transparent. Protective.

Contract Management

Managing contract deliverables is a crucial aspect of Contract Management. This includes a wide range of activities from identifying and defining the deliverables to monitoring overall compliance and performance. Establishing Key Performance Indicators (KPI) aids Blue Planet in providing measurable metrics to track vendor performance and quality of service. In addition we are able to assume management of current contracts, as well as engage in new service agreements. Contract issues are discussed as needed and in our Quarterly Business Reports.

Blue Planet’s daily management of all Vendors ensures compliance with service and pricing expectations, optimizing resources, and offering a single, clear line of communications, Vendor accountability, and overall transparency. We continuously monitor and evaluate the Vendor’s services, pricing, and performance, making adjustments when needed.

Optimization & Consolidation

Communication. Cooperation. Action.

Command & Control (C2)

Assuming command and control of a waste program relies on combining both human resources and technology, including establishing processes and protocols to achieve this objective. By managing both the Vendor and the Contract, Blue Planet can implement elements of optimization and consolidation. Command over these elements, allows for a more coordinated and controlled response to the program and its success. Assuming direct command and control of a waste program ensures a sustainable and successful program that is better managed.

Command & Control (C2)

Fee Management

Adjust. Reduce. Remove.

Fee Management

Managing and mitigating fees involves multiple strategies to minimize costs and risks associated with the various fees issued by the Vendors and Service Providers. Blue Planet engages all Vendors and stakeholders to better understand the reason fees are assessed. We require evidence to support any fee (such as photos), and through proper management, we look for trends within each location's waste stream to find ways to optimize services with the intent of reducing costs, finding savings, and eliminating fees.

Cost Reductions & Savings

Strategies targeting cost reductions and savings involve decreasing operational expenses in order to improve profitability, without impacting operations or services. Achieving this goal requires all of the elements listed herein, uniting together under Blue Planet’s management. Each and every Client-Partner is unique and presents different challenges. We are confident that through our vast industry experience, we will deliver significant savings. ‘Guaranteeing’ savings without fully understanding the scope of a Client-Partner’s locations, is presumptuous.

Diversion & Recycling Programs

Increased diversion and recycling go hand-in-hand with Service Optimization, Cost Reductions, and Savings, if implemented and managed properly. Diverting materials from your trash stream, may result in significant savings, but before you can divert materials you need to understand the point of disposal and generation obstacles, the volume and composition of your waste stream and recyclable materials (via a waste audit). Waste Diversion and Recycling programs are initiatives that can produce reduced costs and savings.

New Location Setup & Temp Services

We evaluate and anticipate the waste stream’s composition and volume and recommend the best services, vendors, and equipment at the best possible cost.

Objective. Informative. Actionable.

Reporting

Communications and feedback is crucial to the success of any mission. Strategically aligned with our daily and regular communications with our Client-Partners, Blue Planet issues Quarterly Business Review reports, targeting the overall performance of the waste program, including past performance, status of current issues and recommendations, future needs and planning, savings, vendor performance, and other critical KPIs. Our reporting delivers actionable intelligence targeting cost savings, increased diversion, and overall program improvement.
